My target 28 kms

A year on...

Last year I volunteered in the Long Walk Home & was stationed at the 10km mark of the 28km walk with other PwC & Wayside volunteers. We handed out snacks, drinks & encouragement to the awesome walkers taking part.

My husband & our five-year-old son joined me to cheer people on, then our son took it upon himself to exuberantly high-five the hundreds of walkers passing through, having done just over a third of their walk by the time they got to us.

He saved up the best high-fives for the awesome group in this photo: my fabulous PwC Social Impact team colleagues doing the walk in 2019.

This year it will be different - we aren't all doing the walk together in one place over one night & my son can't high-five all the walkers - but we have a chance to spread the word further: encouraging our colleagues & friends across Australia to join the walk; increasing awareness of the huge issue of homelessness in Australia; and raising money for the amazing work done by Wayside.

And I'm walking this time too! So, please help me spread the word!

You could even register yourself, or perhaps donate?

Support my 28km Long Walk Home to Help People in Crisis

Over the week of Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November I'm walking 28km, to mirror the average distance walked in any given week by a person living on our streets, in the Long Walk Home.

Every week, a person sleeping rough on our streets has to walk an average of 28km to find shelter or a place to sleep.

Please sponsor my challenge to support the most vulnerable people in our community.

Every step I take and every dollar you help me raise will deliver love, support and assistance to those in crisis.

Thank you so much - every dollar counts!

Thank you to my Sponsors
