Byron is back!

Hey everyone, Byron here, and guess what? I'm back and more determined than ever!

Last year I trained real hard to get to a place where I was going to kick the butt of Long Walk Home. Unfortunately the bad weather got in the way, so I never got to walk from Parramatta to Kings Cross. This time around, nothing's going to stop me. 

I'll be raising money for Wayside again, and a hundred percent I'll be walking with Scott and Joe on Saturday 7th. I'm all in, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. 

Wayside is such a special place to me. It's like my other home. Everyone here has welcomed me with open arms. As you can imagine, giving up drugs after 30 years was rough, but Wayside helped me through it and showed me that there’s such a thing as life after using. I've been clean for 21 months now, and I'm really proud. 

Now I’ve been given a second chance in life, I’m grabbing it with both hands. That’s why I’ve signed up to do the 28km Long Walk Home AGAIN. Every dollar I raise by doing the Long Walk Home will help the team there provide people in crisis with that same level of love and care they've given me.
