Support our Long Walk Home with Wayside Chapel
Growing up in Kings Cross, Wayside Chapel was just around the corner from my home. Even as a kid, I was captivated by the energy, warmth, and chaos that emanated from the rundown building. As the years have flown by and Wayside has evolved into the thriving hub it is now, I've seen firsthand the monumental impact it has made to people who are really doing it tough.
Wayside provides love and support for people facing a complex web of issues, including homelessness, addiction, mental health issues and loneliness. It’s a safe, welcoming place where everyone is person to be met not a problem to be solved.
That’s why my
family, friends and I have signed up for the Long Walk Home. This 28km walk
symbolises the daunting distances someone facing homelessness might walk just
to find shelter or access services. On
the 7th of October, we’ll be walking from Parramatta to Kings Cross, and we’d
love you to join our team, and raise funds for Wayside. Every dollar raised
goes to help someone in crisis.
Will you walk alongside us and show the most vulnerable people in our community that they’re not alone and we are all in this together?
